RFI Rom\u00e2nia has launched a new daily 30-minute programme in Romanian, focused on news from the Republic of Moldova. Titled \u2018Moldova Zoom\u2019, the show broadcasts Monday to Friday at 10:15 am (Chi\u0219in\u0103u time). This new programme is accompanied by a new \u2018Moldova\u2019 section on the RFI Rom\u00e2nia YouTube page, complementing the channel\u2019s existing presence on Facebook (via the RFI Moldova page), TikTok, and on the radio\u2019s website, which already features a section dedicated to Moldovan news. This editorial expansion and increased digital presence aim to strengthen access to professional, balanced, and independent information for listeners and online users in the region, where RFI Rom\u00e2nia enjoys a strong audience and high credibility.<\/p>\n

In addition to its six Romanian frequencies, RFI Rom\u00e2nia is broadcast in the Moldovan capital on 107.3 FM, and Valeria Vi\u0163u, a Chi\u0219in\u0103u-based correspondent, covers daily news from the country in the station\u2019s news bulletins. To further support the editorial expansion focused on Moldova the new programme \u2018Moldova Zoom\u2019, Valeria Vi\u0163u coordinates a team of four correspondents, further expanding RFI Rom\u00e2nia\u2019s presence throughout Moldova. This initiative is also supported by the RFI Rom\u00e2nia team based in Bucharest, within the \u2018Central and Eastern Europe Hub of France M\u00e9dias Monde.<\/p>\n

New programme: \u2018Moldova Zoom\u2019\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Airing on RFI Rom\u00e2nia from Monday to Friday at 10:15 am (Chi\u0219in\u0103u time), \u2018Moldova Zoom\u2019 is a current affairs programme dedicated to the Republic of Moldova. The show features a 15-minute in-depth interview (\u2018The guest of the day\u201d), complemented by field reports and expert analysis. Each day, \u2018Moldova Zoom\u2019 covers major political, economic, and social issues in Moldova, at the national, regional, and European levels. To address topics related to disinformation, RFI Rom\u00e2nia\u2019s editorial teams will rely on the expertise of specialised editorial units at the France M\u00e9dias Monde headquarters.<\/p>\n

The programme is hosted by Lina Gr\u00e2u<\/strong>, an independent Moldovan journalist, and international affairs specialist who previously worked for several years at Radio Free Europe\/Radio Liberty (RFE\/RL) in Chi\u0219in\u0103u.<\/p>\n

The programme is also available as a podcast on RFI Rom\u00e2nia\u2019s digital platforms (website and mobile app), as well as on Spotify, which is particularly popular in Moldova.<\/p>\n
