All the latest news in Arabic
Every day, Monte Carlo Doualiya offers several news segments providing a comprehensive overview of international and French news in Arabic. Its morning show, from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. (Paris time), is particularly popular. Its broad range of magazine programmes complements the editorial offering, which is designed to be both demanding and punctuated by more entertaining moments, including a music programme that blends cultures. The radio is all about proximity and interaction with its audiences.
Upholding the values of freedom, equality and secularism
Broadcast in the Near and Middle East, Mauritania, Djibouti and France (Parisian region and Marseille) from Paris, but also via satellite and digital platforms in North Africa and to Arabic-speaking diasporas around the world, Monte Carlo Doualiya aims to be a bridge in its own right between France, Europe and the Arab world. It is the general-interest radio station for freedom, secularism and universalism for all generations.
A young, interactive radio station
Thanks to its freedom of tone, Monte Carlo Doualiya is particularly attractive to women and young people, who are especially interested in cultural and social programmes. The radio station is investing in digital environments with its website, one of the most modern in the world of Arabic-language sites, and with a stronger presence on mobile apps and social networks, which represent an opportunity for development with populations that are often highly connected. MCD is also expanding its range of podcasts to include not only programmes available on replay, but also native podcasts ranging from fiction to social, cultural and environmental issues.
Strong synergies with France 24 in Arabic
MCD is capitalising on its cooperation with France 24 in Arabic. The two channels are working together on two bi-media radio/TV programmes: ‘Sport 24’ and ‘Le club de la presse’. The radio station also broadcasts France 24 programmes in Arabic on its airwaves: in addition to ‘’The Debate’ and ‘Une semaine dans le monde’, four other successful programmes are aired on MCD: ‘Un invité, un parcours’, ‘Dans la sphère des tabous’ and ‘La semaine de l’éco’.
Since the beginning of 2025, MCD has also relied on France Médias Monde’s Near and Middle East hub based in Beirut (Lebanon), through a 100% digital Arabic-speaking editorial office that produces local content on current affairs in the region to strengthen the digital offerings of MCD and France 24 in Arabic, in coordination with the headquarters teams in Paris.
