France Médias Monde: nearly 700 million video views in March

Driven by international news and the authoritative reporting of its journalists on the conflict in the Near and Middle East, France Médias Monde recorded a record digital audience with nearly 700 million video views and audio plays. This record highlights global audiences’ interest in reliable, balanced, and on-the-ground reporting in 21 languages, amid heightened international tensions.

Between the outbreak of the war on February 28 and March 31, video and audio content from France 24, RFI, and MCD was widely viewed on digital platforms: 336 million views on Facebook (an all-time record for FMM), 207 million views on YouTube (third-best monthly performance), and nearly 80 million views on TikTok (third-best monthly performance).

For over a month, France 24, RFI, and MCD have been covering the situation in Iran and throughout the region in 21 languages (including French, Arabic, and Persian) through some 20 special correspondents, around 40 correspondents in 12 countries—including Iran—and a regional “hub” in Beirut to provide verified, on-the-ground reporting. Regional experts and international journalists in Paris, representing many nationalities, round out a team that offers viewers, listeners, and online users across five continents this unique expertise and, widely recognized worldwide.
